The Evolution of Urban Canada: An Analysis of Approaches and Interpretations

Abstract

This report attempts to analyze the main trends and the most significant work in the field of urban historiography and it is organized around four key themes. The report is, in part, a historiographical essay. But it is, as well, an introduction to the study of Canadian urban history since it identifies the main works in the field.
